Carved Wood Dog
Dim: 18" H
Date: Ca 1930
Found: Ohio
Price: $950

I found this about 10 year ago and like some things I never
offered it for sale. He has black paint over white with a pink mouth ( must be he supports cancer)! There's a fine line along the body that is colored in on one side, but it doesn't look like a real crack. Anyway, was insignificant to me.  A nice carved dog with such a folksy look that made the center of one of my animal folk art drawings. He's def. cool.

Stoneware jar
Dimensions: 9" H
Date: 1974 signed: Incised. Bernie 1974
Material: Stoneware
Found: NYS
Price: $450

I have had this stoneware jar since it was made. Bernie Hoffman was a prolific Potter in the 1970's and made the transition from Traditional ware to more creative objects. I don't think many of his Traditional pieces are out there. I know it was short lived and this jar is probably one of his highlights. The bird, leaves and fish are incised with blue. The lid has incised leaves. There is a repair on the
back side to a piece, but it's nicely repaired. I think this is a really rare piece and of course it was made in NYS not far from where I live. I have had it since 1974.

Horse Weather Vane
Dimensions: 38" by 17
Date: 19th C
Material: Sheet iron over wood
Found in Schoharie Cty, NY
Price: SOLD

This is most unusual and home made weather vane with great original red paint. I like these much better than many of the full body weather vanes. They have more character and show some creativity of the person who made them. This one is really cool and all original untouched. You can see the holes where the rod came up through the horse. I have the
original poles and directional that this was mounted on, but being so large I decided to sell the horse which can be displayed much easier.
The directional are hand wrought with very old green paint. They can't be shipped and would have to be picked up for an extra $300. Your choice!

Stoneware Crock
Dimensions: 2 gallon 11" H

Price: $250

A nice decorated crock from the Geddes factory. It has a hairline about 3" from the base on the left side which you don't see when the crock is facing front. It extends in to the base another 2 inches. It
doesn't affect the stability of the piece. Other then that it's clean and shows a nice floral dec. for your country setting.
